Research Synthesis of Sirindhorn College of Public Health KhonKaen: Scoping Review

Abstract

          The objective of this scoping review was to synthesize the research of Sirindhorn College of Public Health Khon Kaen (SCPHKK). The aspect of synthesis included 1) substantial issue: characteristic of the research, benefit for application and 2) research methodology: study design and target population. Data were collected from existing 208 researches. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics.

           In relation to the substantive issue the findings revealed that the majority of the researches were community research accounted for 27.6 percent. Educational research was followed with 24.6%. Most research of health service system related to oral health research (24.6%).  When considered the research as its essential halve of them involved the research of health prevention and promotion (45.5%). One third of them were in community public health field (31.3%). About 76.6 of research of SCPHKK were published in the library. Approximately 41% were used for public. Most of research had financial support from Praboromrajchanok institute (81.92%). With regard to methodological researches most of research methodology was descriptive (33.7%). Target population was the student accounted for 27.7%.

            It is recommended that research of SCPHKK should be developed. The knowledge in relation to the innovation should be improved apart from the knowledge of educational research. Moreover, the research should be increasingly published both in national and international journals.
