A Study of Students’s Competencies for Bachelor of Public Health (Dental Public Health), Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Praboromarajchanok Institude.

Abstract

            The objectives of the research were 1. To study student’s competencies for Bachelor of public Health majoring of Dental public Health and 2. To study the factors corresponding to the student’s competencies for Bachelor of Public Health majoring of Dental Public Health. The samples of this study were the fourth year bachelor degree of public health majoring of Dental public Health from Ubon Ratchathani, Khon Kaen, Phitsanulok, Suphanburi and Trung Campus with the number of 106 samples including. The instruments used in this research were the competency questionnaire and the factors corresponding to the student's competencies, Index of Item checking the tool's quality by the experts scoring as 0.92 and Cronbach's Alpha checking the reliability scoring as 0.98.

             The result of this research showed that the score of student's competencies Bachelor of public health majoring of Dental public health was at high level  ( = 4.13 and S. D. =0.43), the personnel information showed that sex, age, religion and learning achievement were not related to student's competencies. On the other hands, Institute and domicile were related to student's competencies. The factor of attitude towards the curriculum showed that there was a positive relationships statistically significance at the level of 0.01 (r = 0.45, p = 0.00). The factor of the institute's surroundings showed that there was positive relationships statistically significance at the level of 0.01 (r = 0.41, p = 0.00) and the factor of learning and teaching process was positive relationships statistically significance at the level of 0.01 (r = 0.61 , p = 0.00)
