Sealant Retention and Occurrence of Tooth Decay at First Molar after 1 to 3 Years of 6 Service Units in SamSung, Khon Kaen Province

This study was aimed to study retention of sealants after 1-3 years, tooth decay of first molar that has been sealant after 1-3 years and the relationship of the sealant retention and tooth decay of first molar that has been sealant after 1-3 years. In the 1st grade student who received the sealant in 2018, 2019 and 2020 of 6 service units in SamSung, Khon Kaen Province. The sample were 197 students. The statistics used to test the descriptive statistics data include Frequency Distribution, Percent, Ratio, Rate, Proportion and Analytical statistics such as Chi-square test In the analysis of relationships with efficiency of sealant, sealant retention and tooth decay at first molar.
According to the study results, Sealant retention of first molar after 1-3 years of 6 service units in SamSung, Khon Kaen Province have complete retention lowest. At the lower teeth have loss retention the most more than upper teeth. At Kranuan service unit loss of sealant retention the most at upper and lower teeth 100 percent. And tooth decay at tooth sealant at lower teeth 56.3 percent. At Kham-Maet service unit have tooth decay the most at lower teeth 68.8 percent. Sealant retention and tooth decay in the relationship at first molar that has been sealant after 1-3 years statistically significant 0.05. Sealant retention loss at mandibular left first molar and mandibular right first molar having most decay 49.7 percent
