This cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out to determine the utilization of dental services and associated factors among working age adults during Covid-19 pandemic. The self-administered structured questionnaire consisted of 30 questions on socio-demographic data, dental services utilization in previous 12 months and oral health knowledge. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Chi-square test.
Most of the samples (63.4%) were female. Half of them (52.2%) aged between 45-59 years. Mean age of the sample was 42.40 (S.D.=12.7) years. The majority of subjects (74.6%) received dental care services through Universal Coverage Scheme (UCS). Only 31.6% utilized dental services in previous 12 months. Most dental treatments were tooth extraction and scaling. Factors associated with dental services utilization including educational level, occupation, income, knowledge of oral health, medical welfare benefits, knowledge on oral health were statistically significant (p<0.05). The reasons for not attending dental care were no symptoms and worrying about the Covid-19 pandemic. Hence, to improve access to oral health services, knowledge about oral health should be promoted for the working age adults.
