Dental care behavior of the caregivers of children aged 3-5years

The aims of this study were to 1) evaluation the dental care knowledge, attitude and behavior of the caregivers of children aged 3-5 years old, and 2) assess the association of knowledge and attitude to dental care behavior of the caregivers of children aged 3-5 years old. The participants of this study were 97 caregivers of children aged 3-5 years old who had already took the dental care course by the children development center of ThambolTha-Mai, Krathum Bean district, SamutSakhon. Data analysis was constructed using frequencies, percentage, means (), standard deviation (
), and Pearson ,s product moment correlation coefficient.
The result showed that the caregivers of children aged 3-5 years old had the knowledge of the dental care in the high rank (85.57%). The average of the attitude level of the dental care of the caregivers of children aged 3-5 years oldwas high ( = 2.54,
= 0.33). In addition, the dental care behavior of the caregivers of children aged 3-5 years old was also high (
= 2.54,
= 0.33). Moreover, the association of the knowledge and attitude to dental care behavior of the caregivers of children aged 3-5 years old was statistically significant (
= 0.05).
