Plants and herbs for good oral health.

There is a variety of plants and herbs in Thailand which is very useful and easy to find. It could be vegetables, tree, fruits, and herbs growing around us. The usage of these plants and herbs has been descended from our ancestors, generation by generation. It is valuable knowledge deserving preservation and being inherited to our descendants.In this article, the authors aimed to collect and categorize plants and herbs using for good oral and dental health. There are plants and herbs can be used for various methods, including to drink, to eat, to chew, to process and fill in teeth cavity, to gargle, to apply on gingival and mouth ulcer, etc. Plants and herbs for good oral health can be categorized into 3 groups. Firstly, it is plants and herbs using for oral and dental health promotion, and oral and dental disease prevention. Secondly, it is plants and herbs using for the treatment of oral and dental diseases, such as toothache, gingivitis, aptus, and herpes. Thirdly, it is plants and herbs using for oral and dental health restoration.
