The Relationships between Knowledge, Attitude and Back Pain Prevention Behavior of Dental Public Health Program, Sirindhorn College of Public Health Khon Kaen Province

Abstract

           This survey research was aimed to study about the relationships between knowledge, attitude and back pain prevention behavior of Dental Public Health Program, Sirindhorn College of Public Health Khon Kaen Province. The sample were collected from 52 students in the first year students in 2010 of Dental Public Health Program. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistic, including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, minimum, maximum and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient.

          The results were showed that knowledge and attitude were related to the back pain prevention behavior were statistically insignificant (p-value<0.05).

          This study suggested that the college should encourage the students about the properknowledge and attitude to the back pain prevention behavior more. They should bring practical guiding to prevent the back pain and motivate the students to perform regularly. This is to form the students to be healthy and happy with their work in the future. Then, they can perform the patients efficiently.
