Co-production of Dental public health officers by participation of Local government in Tumbon Buagern, Nampong hospital and Sirinthorn College of Public Health Khon Kaen

Abstract

           The purposes of the study were to study the problems, obstructions and results from education of students from the dental public health of Sirindhorn College of public health Khonkaen province whom were chosen from the rural area, but was not from the entrance examination of the northern part of north eastern of Thailand. This research uses qualitative research, the duration of study extends for 3 years

          From the research found 2 students whom was chosen can study and perform their activities in college well. The first one got the Grade point average (GPA) from the whole curriculum 3.10, the another got 3.22 respectively,moreover their characteristic are neat ,tidy and was beloved among their teachers.

          After their graduation found that the local government in Tumbon Buagerncan could employ only 1 capacity due to lack of the expenditures, besides the executives of the local government in Tumbon Buagern were changed. So, the another was employed by Nampong hospital. From this problem, we found that if the community can depend on themselves ,the production of public health worker from the rural area doesn’t have to depend on the scholarship and employment from the local government. The community can serve the scholarship and employment for the worker who come from that area and resolve the lack of dental public health worker in the rural area by themselves.
