The Relationship among knowledge, attitude and participation in operating educational quality assurance of personnel in Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Khon Kaen Province

Abstract

           This descriptive study aimed to study about knowledge, attitude and participation in operating educational quality assurance of the personnel in Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Khon Kaen.The objectives of this study were: 1) to study the level of knowledge, attitude and participation in operating educational quality assurance of the personnel in Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Khon Kaen, 2) to examine the relationship between knowledge and participation in operating educational quality assurance of the personnel in Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Khon Kaen, and 3) to examine the relationship between attitude and participation in operating educational quality assurance of the personnel in Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Khon Kaen. The stratified random sampling and simple random sampling included 55 staff. The tools of data collection consisted of knowledge in operating educational quality assurance questionnaire, which the reliability level of Kuder–Richardson (KR) was 0.82. The attitude and participation in operating educational quality assurance questionnaires, which the reliability level of Conbrach’s alpha coefficient were 0.93 and 0.90. The data was analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s Chi-square Test.

The results of the study were as follows: 1) The personnel of Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Khon Kaen were in a moderate level of knowledge in education quality assurance; the percentage was 60.4 , 2) The personnel were in a high level of attitude towards educational quality assurance 3) The personnel were in a high level of participation in operating educational quality assurance 4)The knowledge and the participation in operating educational quality assurance of the personnel were related positive (r = 0.271), not significantly at level 0.05 (P-value = 0.248), 5)The attitude and the participation in operating educational quality assurance of the personnel were positive (r = 0.150), significantly at  level 0.05  (P-value = 0.036), 6) The results of this study will be able to use as guidance in developing the operation of educational quality assurance in the college by indicating the policy of knowledge reinforcement, attitude and participation in operating educational quality assurance; the participation in operating educational quality assurance by meeting, workshops, seminar or constantly training; overtaking the changes and creating participation reinforcement for the personnel, to be able to improve and develop the process of operation regarding their tasks by using PDCA Cycle for constant development.
