Abstract

Congenital vascular malformation and limb hypertrophy can be the first presenting sign of many syndromic diseases, include Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome, Parkes-Weber syndrome and Proteus syndrome. Searching for other abnormality involvements is the clue for a final diagnosis.

Diffuse capillary malformation with overgrowth is the newly identified spectrum disease. Typical presentation includes reticulate, diffuse capillary malformation and limb hypertrophy since birth, no major complication when grows up and a characteristic midline demarcation.

We describe a newborn case presented with extensive reticulate continuous staining and right leg hypertrophy since birth. Other physical examinations are within normal limits.
