The Information System Development for Monitoring Inpatient medical records in Kaset Somboon Hospital, Chaiyaphum Province

Purpose: This research aimed to analyze the current challenges and operational procedures in inpatient medical record tracking, to develop a supporting Information System (IS), and subsequently, to evaluate the effectiveness and performance of the developed IS at Kaset Somboon Hospital, Chaiyaphum Province.
Study design: A mixed methods research design.
Materials and Methods: The study included 13 Information Management team who collected data from group discussions and 48 staff members who used inpatient medical records developed an information system with Visual Studio Code, PHP 7.4, and a MySQL database. Analyze quantitative data with descriptive statistics.
Main findings: Development of an information system for tracking inpatient medical records according to the cycle SDLC makes it possible to efficiently resolve medical record flow and status tracking issues. The implementation of the system encountered some issues, such as access permissions and data search. Overall user satisfaction was at the level of "very satisfied" (3.89 ± 0.25).
Conclusion and recommendations: The development of information systems allows tracking the status of inpatient medical records, helping to obtain accurate information. Clearly reduce the work process of the staff. Inpatient medical records can be tracked to be reimbursed in a timely manner and support more data management.
