โรคถุงผนังลำไส้ใหญ่ที่พบจากการตรวจพิเศษทางรังสีลำไส้ใหญ่ ในโรงพยาบาลประจวบคีรีขันธ์

วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อศึกษาหาค่าความถี่ และตำแหน่งรอยโรคของโรคถุงผนังลำไส้ใหญ่ จากการตรวจพิเศษทางรังสีลำไส้ใหญ่ ในโรงพยาบาลประจวบคีรีขันธ์ และเปรียบเทียบกับการศึกษาก่อนหน้านี้ทั้งในและต่างประเทศ
วิธีการศึกษา: ศึกษาย้อนหลังจากผู้ป่วยที่ได้รับการตรวจพิเศษทางรังสีลำไส้ใหญ่ ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2551 - 31 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2561 โดยศึกษาค่าความถี่ของการเกิดโรคถุงผนังลำไส้ใหญ่และตำแหน่งที่พบรอยโรค
ผลการศึกษา: มีผู้ป่วยที่ได้รับการตรวจพิเศษทางรังสีลำไส้ใหญ่ เพื่อวินิจฉัยโรคบริเวณลำไส้ใหญ่ ทั้งสิ้น 1,052 ราย พบโรคนี้ 205 ราย ความถี่ร้อยละ 19.5 เป็นผู้หญิง 85 ราย (ร้อยละ 41.5) และผู้ชาย 120 ราย (ร้อยละ 58.5) ตามลำดับ พบผู้ป่วยตั้งแต่อายุ 33 ปี จนถึง 94 ปี อายุเฉลี่ย 66.6 ปี มีผู้ป่วยที่อายุน้อยกว่า 40 ปี 2 ราย (ร้อยละ 1) ผู้ป่วยอายุมากกว่า 60 ปี 157 ราย (ร้อยละ 76.6) พบรอยโรคส่วนใหญ่ด้านซ้ายของลำไส้ใหญ่ ร้อยละ 41 ด้านขวา ร้อยละ 21 และทั้งสองด้าน ร้อยละ 38 ตำแหน่งลำไส้ใหญ่ด้านซ้ายที่พบบ่อยสุด คือ ลำไส้ใหญ่ส่วนคด พบภาวะแทรกซ้อน คือ การอักเสบ มีผนังกล้ามเนื้อหนาตัวผิดปกติ หรือทะลุ ร้อยละ 10.2
สรุป: ความถี่ของผู้ป่วยโรคถุงผนังลำไส้ใหญ่ จากการตรวจพิเศษทางรังสีลำไส้ใหญ่ในโรงพยาบาลประจวบคีรีขันธ์ พบร้อยละ 19.5 พบมากในผู้ป่วยสูงอายุเพศชาย ที่ตำแหน่งด้านซ้ายของลำไส้ใหญ่ ร้อยละ 41 โดยตำแหน่งที่พบบ่อยที่สุด คือ ลำไส้ใหญ่ส่วนคด จากการศึกษานี้พบความแตกต่างจากการศึกษาในทวีปเอเชียก่อนหน้านี้ ที่พบรอยโรคส่วนใหญ่บริเวณลำไส้ใหญ่ด้านขวา
