ผลของโฟโตไดนามิคเทอราปีต่อโรคปริทันต์อักเสบเรื้อรัง

โรคปริทันต์อักเสบ เป็นโรคที่ทำให้เกิดการอักเสบของอวัยวะปริทันต์ การรักษาโรคปริทันต์อักเสบจึงมุ่งไปที่การลดเชื้อแบคทีเรียก่อโรคปริทันต์ ซึ่งการขูดหินน้ำลายและการเกลารากฟันนั้น ถือเป็นมาตรฐานในการรักษาโรคปริทันต์อักเสบ แต่ก็มีข้อจำกัดโดยเฉพาะในร่องปริทันต์ที่ลึกหรือในฟันที่มีรากฟันซับซ้อน โฟโตไดนามิคเทอราปีเป็นการนำเลเซอร์พลังงานต่ำมาใช้ โดยสามารถฆ่าเชื้อแบคทีเรียได้โดยไม่ทำลายเนื้อเยื่อร่างกาย การศึกษานี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อทบทวนแนวคิดของโฟโตไดนามิคเทอราปีและทบทวนงานวิจัยต่างๆ ที่นำมาใช้ทางคลินิก เพื่อรักษาโรคปริทันต์อักเสบเรื้อรัง
