Settings Prevalence and Associated Factors of Hand Dermatitis Among Radish Workers in Chet Samian District, Ratchaburi Province

Abstract

Objective: To study the prevalence and associated factors of hand dermatitis among radish workers in Chet Samian district, Ratchaburi province.
Materials and methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study was done. The sample size consisted of 120 workers from radish factory in Chet Samian District, Ratchaburi province were recruited by a stratified random sampling technique. The individual data were interviewed by using questionnaires, recording forms and taking photographs. The statistics used to analyze data were frequency, percentage, chi-square test and Fisher’s exact test.
Results: The prevalence of hand dermatitis among radish workers in Chet Samian District, Ratchaburi province was 52.5%. Statistically significant factors associated with hand dermatitis was exposure syrup (p-value < 0.05) and the other factors were not associated.
