The Treatment of Fracture Distal Radius by Closed Pinning and Filling with Calciumphosphate Bone Cement in Krathumbaen Hospital

Abstract

Results of conservative treatment (closed reduction with cast) of fracture distal radius at Krathumbaen hospital was reported at in 2009 and revealed that the results was poor in patients had ≥ 10o dorsal tilt in first X-ray finding due to dorsal comminution. Orthopedic surgeons in Krathumbaen hospital presented technique to support dorsal part of fracture with K-wire supporting and filled defect with injectable calciumphosphate bone graft. The result of this technique was good and had less complication.
