Combined Spinal Epidural Anesthesia in Total Knee Arthroplasty at Somdejpraputhalertla Hospital

Abstract

This is observational prospective study in total knee arthroplasty patients received combined spinal epidural anesthesia in Somdejpraputhalertla hospital. There were 38 patients, 9 males and 29 females. Mean age was 62.92 years (± 8.29 SD), Average BMI was 25.67 (± 3.30 SD). Recording of postoperative pain score by visual analog scale, median pain score at 6 hour was 3 (IQR 2-4 ), median pain score at 12 hour was 2 (IQR 1-2), median pain score at 24 hour is 2 (IQR 1-2). There were 30 patients (78.9%) still had numbness at 24 hour. Pain score level and nausea did not significantly relate to sex of the patients (P value 0.49, 0.12 respectively).
