Neuralgic Amyotrophy : A Case Report

Abstract

A 24 year-old-thai male who suffered from pain, weakness and muscle atrophy of left shoulder for 2 months. The physical examination revealed muscle atrophies and weakness of left shoulder. The elctrodia-gnostic studies showed denervation pattern of left shoulder muscles, MRI showed atrophies with increase T2 signal intensity of muscles of left shoulder and mild enhancement of left brachial plexus. The diagnosis wasneuralgic amyofrophy. He responded well to steroid, analgesic drugs and physical therapy.
