A case report : Bilateral Mature Cystic Teratoma

Abstract

A 21 year-old Myanma woman presented with a two-month history of pelvic pain. Physical examination represented a pelvic mass.

Ultrasound of the lower abdomen showed a 7.8-cm echogenic mass at mid pelvic cavity. CT of the whole abdomen revealed bilateral ovarian teratoma. She was sent to a gyneoologist for left salphingo-oophorectomy and enucleation of the right ovarian tumor. The gross specimen of bilateral adnexa region showed masses which containing hair, cheesy material and bone. Pathological report was bilateral mature cystic teratoma.
