Factors Affecting Personal Perceptibility after Hospital Accreditation Approved Among Ratchaburi Hospital Staffs

Abstract

Introduction : This research was intended to investigate the level of organizational climate, staff's

perceptual in different dimension and the factors affecting personal perceptibility after hospital accreditation among Ratchaburi Hospital staffs.

 

Methodology : Survey Research was provided using the questionnaire as the instrument for data

collection. The data was analyzed based on percentage, means, standard deviations and Multiple Regression

analysis. A two-tailed p value of < 0.05 was considered significant. All statistical calculations were performed

using standard programs in SPSS version 11.0

 

Results : The results of the study revealed as follow : The sample was 322, The percentage of male and female was 12.11 and 87.89. Staffs with under bachelor degree and with bachelor or higher degree was 42.86 and 57.14 respectively. The percentage of physician, nurse, professional and employee was 6.5, 36.96, 11.85 and 44.72. Staffs with monthly salary less than 9,550 bath, between 9,551—18,640 bath and 19,641 bath or higher was 33.85, 32.92 and 33.23 respectively. The level of overall organizational perception and at different dimension ; Structure, Responsibility, Warmth, Support, Reward, Conflict, Performance Standards, Identity and Risk Taking was in the middle level. Focusing on different dimension ; structure, responsibility, reward, performance standards, support, risk and risk taking, conflict, warmth and identity. There were positive significant relationship with organizational perception with R2 = 0.095, 0.103, 0.112, 0.133, 0.147, 0.148, 0.171, 0.202 and 0.204 respectively at the 0.05 level. The variables which predicted organizational perception statistically significant were gender, educational degree, organizational position and salary.  

Conclusion :  According to personal perception level, various factors affecting organizational climate after hospital accreditation approved, especially modifiable factor, educational degree. Further study in different dimension of educational degree are acquired for future plan of training program or educational curriculum, to fulfill staffs in appropriate position that compatible with organizational culture and also encourage better  organizational climate supporting higher hospital standard.
