Abstract

     Ureteral calculi is common stone in the urinary system. Lacking of appropriate treatment may lead to loss of ipsilakeral kidney function. A 37 years old Thai man, presented with intermittent right back pain for 2 years. After evaluation was done with intravenous pyelography (IVP), he had a 2 centimeters stone at right upper ureter. This stone could not be treated by extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) and ureterorenoscopy (URS) with stone manipulation. Laparoscopic ureterolithotomy was performed. After surgery, the patient did well and had no complication.
