Abstract

Bedside predictive screening for assessment of difficult intubation is essential for suitable preparation to lessen lethal complication. Each technique posses its own sensitivity and specificity. Mallampati classification, Thyromental distance and Interincisor gap are routinely preoperative evaluated for difficult intubation in Department of Anesthesia, Ratchaburi Hospital. The sensitivity of all three methods were assessed and found very low in spite of their high specificity. All measurement for difficult intubation is still recommended in every attempt for intubation.
