Abstract

     A 28-year-old woman with 26 weeks gestation presented with dyspnea, cough, orthopnea, right calf swelling and hypoxemia. EKG showed sinus tachycardia. Ultrasound doppler of both legs revealed findings of deep vein thrombosis of right common femoral vein. Echocardiography demonstrated right ventricular dilation with pulmonary hypertension. The patient had been diagnosed of venous thromboembolism (deep vein thrombosis of right common femoral vein and pulmonary embolism). LMWH was given until 36 weeks gestation then heparin was given. The patient was improved after treatment and had a normal delivery.
