Total Knee Arthroplasty ln Prachuapkirikhan Hospital

Abstract

       This study reviewed patient who were operated total knee arthroplasty during January 2000 to December 2005 at Prachuapkirikhan Hospital. There were 52 patients, 44 patients (84.6%) were female and 8 patients (15.4%) were male. There were 8 patients operated both knees. The age of patient were between 40-49 years old. The result of operation revealed that most of patients had range of motion knee joint between 130° - 90° were 44 joints (73.3%), range of motion more than 130° were 9 joints (15%), range of motion 90° were 6 joints (6%) and less than 90° was 1 joint (1.7%) respectively. There were complication, such as painful knee 5 patients, Infected knee 1 patient, soft tissue infected 1 patient. There was no dislocation or loosening prosthesis. The result of operation, 43 patients (82.7 %) were very satisfied, 8 patients (15.4 %) were satisfied and 1 patient (1.9%) was unsatisfied.
