Human Influenza A in Samutsakhon

Abstract

       This retrospective cohort study was performed to describe the clinical features and the management among 202 Human influenza A patients who presented to Samutsakhon Hospital during April 3, and June 14, 2006. 541 cases of influenza Like Illness (ILI) from three frozen food factories and other non-cluster ILl patients in the study period were analyzed. A total of 465 Rapid tests were performed and 150 tests were confirmed by RT-PCR for Influenza antigen. Final diagnoses were confirmed human influenza A (202 patients), probable human influenza A (76 patients), unspecified viral infections (258 patients), unspecified.
