Treatment of Intestinal Obstruction in Bangpong Hospital

Abstract

          A retrospective study reviewed 80 cases of intestinal obstruction in Bangpong hospital during October 2001 - September 2004. Total number of admissions were 115. Twenty eight cases were operated and 52 cases were consenratively treated. Average hospital stay was 8.21 days. Complications were found in 9 patients and 2 were died. In conclusion patient with intestinal obstruction should have promt diagnosis, close followed up and appropriate treatment to prevent complication and mortality.
