Pediatric Poisoning in Ratchaburi Hospital, 2002-2004

Abstract

          A three years retrospective study of the patients who received poisons of Ratchaburi hospital from 1 January 2002 -31 December 2004. There were 65 inpatients who received poisons. The average age of them was 4.14 years (4 days - 13.9 years). The most common age was 1 year old. There was 0.21 - 0.41 % of all inpatient of pediatric who received poisons each year. The male and female were nearly equal in number. The average duration in hospital was 2.27 days. There were 2 patients died from Disulfan and Hydrocarbon poisoning.
