Abstract

Retrospective study reviewed 167 death cases to accidental traffic transport in Cha-um hospitalduring 1 October 2002-30 September 2004. The result of study showed that majority of the dead waspeople from outside this area. Most of the dead did not wear helmet while riding motorcycles. The percentage of death prior to arrival at hospital reduced each year, possibly because the hospital adopted emergencyambulance delivering system from accident scenes in the middle of 2003. The aim to promote the decreasein the number of death from traffic accidents should be directed to campaigning with tourists and thosetraveling from other areas. A strict measure should be also applied to those who ride motorcycles withoutwearing helmets.
