Abstract

A 36-year-old man, with severe open fracture of right forearm and hand, and postoperative infected plating osteosynthesis of the ulna and proximal radius bone loss. Large segmental bone loss of the ulna resulted from infection and surgical debridement. One-bone forearm reconstruction was created by translocating the distal part of radius to fused with the proximal part of ulna. At 3-year follow up, this reconstruction can provide a stable forearm with good functional and cosmetic results as well as patient satisfaction.
