Flexible and Disposable Suction Tip in ENT Suction

Abstract

          Suction tip is a very necessary medical equipment for Otolaryngologist. It is used for draining fluid e.g. secretion, saliva, otorrhea, rhinorrhea for both diagnostic and therapeutic procedure. Conventional suction tips are mostly made of stainless steel. They are rigid, so they can not access some curved part of the body and may cause tissue trauma while using it. Moreover the conventional stainless-steel suciton tips is too expensive for single use. They must be cleaned and resterized after usage. This take time, cost and risk of cross-infection. The new flexible and disposable suction tip improves the old rigid and expensive suction tips. It made of plastic which is softer for the patient and can be curved to access the hidden recess. So it is less traumatic. Most of all it is nearly so cheap as disposable needle. So it is also disposable. The inventor hopes that this flexible and disposable suction tip will be used as standard equipment in the same means of the disposable needle is used instead of the old re used, stainless-steel needle
