Primary Amenorrhea from Mullerian Agenesis

Abstract

A 21 years old female patient presented with primary amenorrhea. She had psychosocial and physical status as a woman and normal secondary sexual characteristic. Physical examination revealed normal exteranl genitalia, normal urethral opening and 1 finger breadth in depth of vaginal inlet. Uterus was not found by ultrasonography and diagnostic laparoscopy. Her karyotype was 46 XX. The IVP showed normal kidney, ureter and vetebral column. She was suggested to dilate the vaginal canal by test tube (Frank maneuver) and then vaginoplasty if the first method was failed.
