Application of Intravenous Line for Vaccuum Drain in Orthopaedic Surgery

Abstract

After orthopaedic operation, we always placed a vaccuum drain for blood, serum, or pus drainage. ln Ratchaburi hospital from January 1998-June 1998 the author applied the intravenous line to drain fluid after orthopaedic operation in 100 patients. The used intravenous line could drain   as good as the vaccuum drain after orthopaedic operation.
