Abstract

A case is reported of a rare, low-grade malignant tumor of the head of pancreas in a young woman of 20 years old, who presented with a large abdominal mass in the upper abdomen for a period of 5 years. This tumor is typically found in young women, does not metastasis, and is amendable to cure after complete surgical resection. Although potentially curable, late metastasis and current inability to predict aggressive behavior of some of these tumours indicate long-term follow up.
