Intermediate Syndrome in Organophosphate Poisoning

Abstract

A 62 years old man with respiratory failure due to intermediate syndrome was reported, an organophosphate poisoning which appear after acute cholinergic crisis but before the time to develop delayed neuropathy. Muscle weakness in intermediate syndrome is classical, involved respiratory muscle, proximal muscle of limb, neck flexure muscle and muscle that innervated by cranial nerve. Treatment is just supportive.
