Tele-Endoscopic, Microscopic Endonasal Surgery for Sinunasal Tumor by Powered Microdebrider. How I do it ?

Abstract

Tele-endoscopic endonasal surgery for sinunasal tumor is classified as a “key hole" or “minimal invasive" surgery. Patient’s post-op condition were rapidly recovered and rendered further adjuvant therapy such as post-op radiation or chemotherapy earlier than the conventional approach surgery. Avoidance of incisional wound complications such as flap necrosis, wound disruption, fistula formation and scar contracture are another advantage. 

Somes claimed this procedure causes more recurrent rate due to inadequate removal of the tumor mass. One factor seemed to be the lack of instrumental feasibility to totally remove those tumors transnasal.

Powered microdebrider with teIe-endoscopic sinus surgery have been used since 1996 in E.N.T. department, Nakhonpathom hospital and found that it eases and comfort the operations as well as being more effective. it may take parts in successfullness of surgery especially surgical treatment of sinunasal tumor.
