Progress Toward Poliomyelitis Eradication in Somdejphrasangkaraj 17th Hospital

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the knowledge of poliomyelitis and activity during the National Immunization Days (NIDs) in 1996. There were 100 persons of parents and 40persons of nurses in Somdej Prasangkharaj 17th  hospital in this study. 7.5% of parents and 5% of nurses did not know about characteristic of poliomyelitis disease. 5% of parents and 2.5% of nurses did not know there was the NlDs in 1996. 17.5% of nurses and 5% of parents thought that the children should not be immunized during the NlDs if they recieved routine immunization completely.
