Report 29 Cases of Amebic Liver Abscess

Abstract

The retrospective study of 29 cases of Amebic liver abscesses in Male-Medicine ward, Damnoensaduk hospital during. August 1989 to February 1997 was gathered. The study dividedpatients into two groups : the alcoholic one and non - alcoholic. The results showed that the alcoholic group had complication of pleural effusion more than non-alcoholic group ; and had a tendency to take more time to be cured.
