Influenzing Factors to Menopausal Symptoms in Rural Postreproductive Women Samutsongkram Province

Abstract

          A Study of Influenzing Factors to Menopausal Symptoms in rural Post Reproductive Women, Samutsongkram Province was done. 375 women of 45-59 years old were selected from each subdistrict by table for Determination Sample and interview by well trained health personnel. 40.53 percent were menopausal. 44 percent earned 3,001-5,000 Bahts/month. Those who earned more than 5,000 Bahts/month had better health care behaviors than the lower income group. In both groups ot pre-and postmenopausal, knowledge about menopause and health care behaviors and menopausal symptoms were not difference statistically. The knowledge had negative relation to the menopausal symptom, while health care behavior had positive relation to the menopausal symptom.

          This study might be beneficial for setting menopause clinics, by giving appropriate knowledge about menopausal syndrome, health care behaviors.
