Double Implants in Ipsilateral Fracture of Femoral Neck and Shaft : Results in 16 Years

Abstract

Result of sixteen patients treated with double implants mostly with dynamic hip screw (DHS) for fracture neck of femur and dynamic compression plate (DCP) for fracture shaft of femur in Prachomklao hospital, Phetchaburi ; were collected. Only one case developed avascular necrosis while union rate was 100%. The result was good as compared with second generation interlocking nail that was favorable method nowadays.
