The Perinatal Mortality at Chaoprayayomraj Hospital in 1992-1994.

Abstract

          Perinatal mortality study in Chaoprayayomraj Hospital was conducted during 1 October 1991 to 30 September 1994. There were 155 perinatal deaths and 8,462 live births. The perinatal mortality rate was 18.32/1,000 live birth. The significant causes of perinatal death were asphyxia and prematurity which can be prevented by improving the antenatal care service, prenatal diagnosis, labor attending and referral system.
