Sialocele : New Surgical Treatment (Alternative Method).

Abstract

          Sialocele is a rare complication of parotid injury. There is controversy between conservative and surgical treatment. A labour patient, 40 years of age, with past history of severe cut wound of left cheek, was admitted because of having a lump on left cheek during meal. The investigation, rationale review and a new alternative method of surgical treatment by creating intraoral controlled fistula for internal drainage by using marsupialization technique was reported.
