Evaluation of Suprapubic Prostatectomy in Sena Hospital (Retrospective Study) in 1985-1990.

Abstract

          A retrospective study of suprapubic prostatectomy was done during 1985 to 1990 in Sena Hospital, Ayuthaya province. 22 cases of suprapubic prostatectomy were divided into two groups using different method to stop bleeding, 8 cases of the first group using only foley catheter, while in 14 cases of the second group suture ligation of active bleeding were performed, before the operative wounds was closed. The study show that the patients of the second group used lesser amount of blood transfusion and lesser hospital stayed day than the first group.
