Measles in Potharam Hospital

Abstract

          A retrospective study of 67 cases of measles admitted at Potharam hospital from October 1st,  1989 to September 30th, 1993 were reported. There was no sex difference. The majority of cases (47.76 %) were children 5-9 years. The overall cases with complications were 40.25 percent. Pneumonia and diarrhea was the most frequent complication. One case had recieved measles vaccine prior to this episode of illness.
