Blunt Abdominal Injuries Underwent Surgical Treatment in Nakhonpathom Hospital

Abstract

The study of 106 patents whom suffered from blunt abdominal injuries underwent Explor laparotomy in 1994 in Nakhonpathom hospital. Most of the Injury were traffic accident, 24.5% were injury of two organs or more. The injuries were so severe that 17.93% died. As for the operating theater, well equipped and well trained nurses had an important role in the result of operative treatment.
