Abstract

Urinary retention is uncommon in elderly women. The obstruction is caused by stenosis of bladder neck and urethra which is a physiologic change in menopause. Medical treatment is unpredictable but surgery such as T.U.R. of bladder neck can relieve symptom without complication of urinary incontinence.
