Abstract

A study for diagnostic accuracy of Pap smear for cervical cancer was carried out in 17, 171 cases. Of those 144 cytology positive cases, comfirmation procedures such as colposcopy, multiple cervical biopsy, conization or hysterectomy were done. There was substantial sensitivity of the cytologic method in mild dysplasia,  carcinoma in situ and invasive carcinoma groups.
