Traumatic Rupture of Mesenteric Cyst: A Case Report

Abstract

          Mesenteric cyst is a rare intraabdominal lesion of childhood. Abdominal pain is the most common presenting symptom. It may present with complication such as intestinal obstruction or hemorrhage into the cyst. This is a report of a 5-year-old girl with ruptured mesenteric cyst following blunt abdominal trauma.Complete cyst excision with intestinal resection was successful.
