Non Communicable Diseases in Pottery Workers

Abstract

          Noncommunicable disease (NCD) was studied in 350 pottery workers in Ratchaburi municipal from April to September 1992. The prevalence of hypertension was 4.5 %, diabetes mellitus was 2.5 % and traffic accident (within one year) was 3.3 %. The other health problems observed in these workers were malnutrition, drug abuse, cigarette smoking, energy supplement and alcoholic consumption.
