Diabetic Nephropathy in Phrachomklao Hospital

Abstract

          In Phrachomklao Hospital, 300 diabetic patients were examined for the prevalence of proteinuria and associated hypertension. Proteinuria was presented in 10% of diabetic patients. Hypertension was about 24.7%, and hypertension plus proteinurea was 6.7%. Proteinuria is the sign of clinical nephropathy and the predictor of increasing mortality rate in diabetic patient. The difference steps of prevention to alter the course of nephropathy in diabetic patients are discussed.
