Abstract

Female urethral injury is uncommon, it should be considered in any case of major pelvic- trauma in females. Two cases of blunt pelvic trauma in child and adult were reported. They were admitted to the hospital with shock and vaginal bleedings from vaginal lacerations. The child almost lost the middle 1/3 of the urethra. For the adult case, there were deep Iaceration of the vagina, tear of bladder neck and proximal urethra. Both cases were treated by delaying transvaginal and immediate suprapubic intravesical repair of the defect in the adult with good results.
