Factors Related to Utilization of Dental Services Among Elderly in Nakhonchaisi Subdistrict, Nakhonchaisi District, Nakhon Pathom Province

Objective: To study factors related to utilization of dental services among elderly in Nakhonchaisi Sub-district, Nakhonchaisi District, Nakhon Pathom Province.
Material and Method: Cross-sectional descriptive study was done. The study group, consisted of 250 elders from community in Nakhonchaisi Sub-district, Nakhonchaisi District, Nakhon Pathom Province were recruited by a stratified random sampling technique. The individual data were interviewed by using questionnaires. Data were collected during April to May 2018. The statistics used to analyze data were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, chi-square test.
Results: The results were found that there were 46 (18.4%) of the responders had utilization of dental services in the past year. Statistically significant factors related to utilization of dental services among elderly in Nakhonchaisi Sub-district, Nakhonchaisi District, Nakhon pathom Province were age, benefits use at point of services, access point of services, having natural teeth with dental prosthesis (p-value <0.05) and the other factors were not related.
